Rutherford, Napa Valley
20 To Watch - Wine Spectator
Nov. 15, 2007
Tasting Notes:
Adagio is proprietary blend of Sangiovese and Syrah that is crafted to be enjoyed early, spending just a few months in oak barrels. The fruit is sourced from the same Rutherford vineyard as our Cabernet Sauvignon.
The exotic spiciness of our Sangiovese combines with the powerful fruitfulness of our Syrah to create this exuberant, intensely flavored and approachable wine that still reflects its Rutherford origins. The finish is velvety smooth with easy tannins that evolve throughout your mouth.
Vineyards:
Our fruit comes from the beautiful Round Pond Estate vineyards. Each row has been selected and meticulously tended to by our winemaker to insure that each vine produces the highest quality fruit showing the unique, alluvial Rutherford soils that resulted from the changing path of Conn Creek and the Napa River over the last several thousand years.
